Made when I got back to art school after the birth of my son. I wanted to do something about the rituals of mothering, with particular reference to breastfeeding, a process both routine and sacred. I asked a teacher from my Classics degree days to help me construct a text about motherhood and love. It is hard to see in the images, but around each text is a light grey letterpress circle of text saying 'again and again and again'. I altered real used (clean!) breastpads and photocopied them as part of the book, then put together an installation of pegged-up breastpads along a washing line.

Each book is cased in a soft bag, with an altered breastpad and a milky-white peg.
